Fresh Sugar Lip Treatments

Hello lovelies, I hope you are enjoying your time off and are getting to spend time with your loved ones. A couple of weeks ago I treated myself to Fresh' Sugar Lip Balm gift set and am absolutely in love with them. I have wanted to try Fresh products for ages but I thought they were only available in the US, when I found out we had shops here in the UK I went to explore their products. I spent a good 30 minutes in the shop trying to decide what to buy and opted for their biggest lip balm gift set. The beauty geek in me loves this time of year and all of the beauty Christmas gift sets; it is the perfect time to try out new brands as you get so much more for your money.

Included in the set was a Sugar Lip Treatment, a Sugar Lip Treatment Advanced Therapy and 7 Sugar Tinted Lip Treatments. The shades of the the tinted lip balms in the set are Plum, Coral, Honey, Rose, Cherry, Tulip and Passion. There also exists 5 more that weren't included in the gift set: Ruby, Berry, Petal, Fig and Nude. They are all miniature versions of the lip balms and the full size products are actually quite bigger. It is safe to say I am hooked and have found my new favourite lip balms.

Natural World Chia Seed Oil range

A while ago, I was sent the Chia Seed Oil range from Natural World and I couldn't wait to start using it. I'm a big lover of all things natural that may help my hair grow more and look better. I choose the Chia Seed Oil range as I felt it best corresponded to what my hair needed and I have never used any haircare products including it before.

Heaven Silver Bee Venom Mask

If you are a regular reader of my blog, then you will know a couple of months ago I helped Lauren from Blonde Vision organise the #bigbloggerconference and had an amazing time doing so. It was a great opportunity to meet lots of wonderful bloggers and discover a variety of different brands. One of the brands I was really excited about attending was Heaven skincare, their reputation preceded them and I was looking forward to seeing their renowned products in the flesh.

Heaven skincare is an all-natural organic range of products, which helps to diminish spots and blemishes whilst maintaining a youthful glow. Instead of adding more oil to your skin, Heaven instead adds moisturise which plumps out skin skills and leaves you with a brighter complexion. This lovely brand was created by Deborah Mitchell and has received praise from numerous celebrities, such as Dannii Minogue, Michelle Pfeiffer, Katie Price, Victoria Beckham, Mariska Hargitay and many more.

Valley Mill soaps

A couple of weeks ago I was sent two soaps to try out by Valley Mill and have been using them ever since. I'm a big lover of bath products and was really excited to get them in the post. I received two different soaps: Lavender & Citronella and Grapefruit & Fennel.

Imperial Leather shower creams

Over the past couple of weeks I have been seeing lots of posts regarding Imperial Leather shower creams in sweet fragrances and people raving about them. I am a big sweet lover and prefer sweets over chocolates (a bit controversial I know), which is why I really wanted to get my hands on them. I hate boring generic shower gel scents, so I thought it would be perfect for me and they are reasonably priced.

Birchbox At Selfridges

A couple of weeks ago whilst I was in London I decided I had to go to Selfridges to built my own Birchbox. Being a big beauty lover I could not resist going and already knew I was going to struggle to decide what to put in my box.

I absolutely loved the layout of all of the products and it was really cool being actually able to go around choosing what goes in your box from a list. They  should definitely make a permanent Birchbox shop in London as it would 100% be popular and it would be very unique.

Charlotte Tilbury K.I.S.S.I.N.G lipstick - Bitch Perfect

Hello lovelies, on my birthday I was lucky enough to finally get my hands on a Charlotte Tilbury lipstick! I have been lusting over the K.I.S.S.I.N.G lipsticks for a while now and have almost bought a few a couple of times but didn't really have the money to spare at the time. It was love at first sight with Bitch Perfect and was one of the first items on my birthday list, it is such a pretty shade and I have always heard such good things about the brand.

#BigBloggerConference

Hello lovelies, I have been meaning to write this post for three weeks but just haven't gotten around to doing so. The Big Blogger Conference took place on Saturday 22nd August and it went amazingly if I say so myself. I offered to help Lauren with the organisation of the conference back in June and I have loved every moment of it, it was great fun contacting all the brands and seeing it all come together. I still cannot believe that we were trending on Twitter first thing in the morning and were number 1 throughout the day!! There were over 2,000 mentions on social media which is beyond incredible.

Hello lovelies, I hope you are having a lovely bank holiday weekend so far. Last weekend was the #bigbloggerconference, amongst the brands there was lookfantastic and they were very generous and were giving out their latest beauty box. In their beauty box was Alterna's Caviar CC Cream and I honestly do not know how I had not heard of this product before.

A couple of weeks ago, I was invited to the press launch of Stvdio5's pop-up shop and I was so excited to go. Marc Jacobs Daisy Dream

Hello lovelies, recently I have been looking for a nice light summery fragrance and thought back to last summer when I got some perfume samples when I bought a perfume from The Fragrance Shop. I had two samples, one of which was Marc Jacobs Daisy Dream and I really loved it. I wrote a blog post about the samples which can be found here, but Daisy Dream deserves a full post about how awesome it is.

Clinique Even Better Foundation

One of my favourite purchases recently is Clinique's Even Better foundation and I think this is the best foundation I have owned so far. A couple of months ago, I bought Latest in Beauty's Clinique beauty box and it contained a voucher for £10 off when you spend over £40. It was a good deal and too good to resist, I wanted to get one of their foundations as my friend had recommended it and to fuel my lipstick addiction I wanted to try out one of their new lipsticks. I got two amazing products for £30 when it should have cost me over £40!

Origins skincare products

A couple of months ago, I won a ticket to go to a meet and great with Tanya Burr which was organised by Origins. I was really excited to go and discover more about Origins, I hadn't tried any of their products before and I always love finding out about new brands. It was an amazing event, there were delicious smoothies as I came in and lots of tables with Origins workers on it, all of them were explaining their different products and testing them on peoples hands. I had a lovely chat with a woman and she talked to me about the different products they had brought with them, I then decided to go and buy the Drink Up Intensive Overnight Mask as it sounded amazing. I have been on a quest to keep my skincare hydrated recently and have gotten into buying overnight masks, which is why I bought that product.

Hand Chemistry - Intense Youth Complex Hand Cream

I have been meaning to write this post for ages but things just kept getting in the way. I got hand chemistry in a beauty box I ordered from Latest in Beauty a little while ago and they sure do know how to choose great products to put in the boxes.

What it says it does?

Concentrated multi- functional hand cream targets 8 signs of hand aging simultaneously. The extraordinary 19.5% active complex concentration visibly improves firmness, elasticity, density, evenness, brightness, texture, smoothness and hydration.

Directions: Apply evenly to clean hands morning and evening. Expect visible results in 11 days. Intended for use on hands and forearms only.

I was excited to put it to the test, as I often get quite dry hands and nothing seems to really do the trick. It says to expect visible results after 11 days, so I wasn't anticipating anything to happen instantly but I was already starting to feel a difference. My hands felt so much smoother, after the first time I put it on and it is different to the other hand creams I have used before. The hand cream really does help to hydrate your hands and my hands haven't felt as good in a really long time! After 11 days, my hands felt fantastic and it was as if they were never even dry in the first place.

I know the hand cream is for Intense Youth Complex, but I think it is perfect for anybody with dry/damaged hands and it truly does help to nourish them. Ageing hands or not, this hand cream is amazing and helps make hands firmer and softer.

Would I buy it again? This is one of the best hand creams I have ever tried, it does what it says and it is worth the price you pay. It costs £8 for 30ml and £19 for 100ml, I definitely want to buy more of their products after seeing how good their Intense Youth Complex hand cream is. I'm very impressed by this Hand Chemistry product, if you want soft, smooth, hydrated and firm hands then this is the hand cream for you! It has been named the #1 selling hand cream from October 2013 to October 2014 and it is no surprise, it truly is a great product and I would recommend it everyone.

#BloggersInvadeCenterParcs

Two weekends ago, I went away with a lovely group of bloggers and had the best weekend ever! It was a highly anticipated trip with probably thousands of WhatsApp messages and lots of excited tweets. It was a little bit daunting at first meeting 10 people I had never met before, but after 5 minutes with these lovely ladies my nervousness disappeared straight away. Shortly after arriving, the girls in my lodge (Kirsty, Jess, Adele, Bella and Vicky) and I all sat down, and started to get to know each other. Jess knew the quick way to our hearts was by bribing us with cheese strings and it certainly was a great icebreaker. We all bonded over blogging, the drama that comes with it and got to know each other. There was a slight mishap when picking up our bikes as the shop was shut whoops, Jess and I also thought we were being stalked driving round the car park but the driver of the car turned out to be Bella. We had a good laugh about it and if there was any awkwardness before there certainly wasn't after that.

Kirsty, Jess, Adele Bella, Myself and Vicky

Lodge 2
Once we got back to the lodge we had fajitas and chatted for ages, after dinner we went over to Lodge 1 were Lauren, Laura, Laura C, Laura Hainy and Rachel were staying. We had a fun chilled evening, there was lots of talking and all these ladies are honestly the nicest people I have ever met. I shared a room with Jess and we stayed up ages talking about everything and anything. She is honestly hilarious and we have the same sense of humour, it felt like I had known her for years and not just hours.

Our second day at Centre Parcs was jammed pack full of amazing and fun activities, I was so excited that I could barely sleep and didn't want to miss a moment of it. Jess and I made breakfast, I was introduced to canned croissant and I cannot believe I have been missing out on them all this time. They taste seriously amazing so thanks Jess!! We also came up with the idea for a big blogger house over breakfast, so if you saw the hashtags on my Instagram posts and thought what the hell is she on about now you know. How cool would it be if there was a blogger version of big brother?! Although there was one flaw in that whole plan, bloggers would need their phones, I mean imagine surviving months without social media and actually being able to blog. After a lot of nattering, 6 of us (Laura, Lauren, Rachel, Bella, Jess and myself) went down to grab our bikes before going canoeing but we kind of underestimated how long it would take to walk there, so in the end we went canoeing first and were joined by Laura Hainy and Laura C. Jess and I paired up for canoeing, she warned me beforehand that she may be a liability but I don't know what she was on about. I think we did pretty well, not as good as Laura C and Laura Hainy who were like pros and synchronised, but we did not capsize so I count that as a success.

After all the fun of canoeing, we had to trek up to the cycle centre with very wet bums and let me tell you it is not a comfortable feeling. Once we got our bikes, we rode back to the lodges and had lunch before going swimming. I was really excited about swimming after seeing the rapids and the steam coming off the water, so I knew it was going to be warm. The rapids were amazing, we went round them 3 times I think and it was just as fun each time. The water was so warm as well, I just wanted to stay in there forever and relax. After swimming we went back to the lodges to get ready for dinner and then bowling.

We went to an American diner for dinner and it was so good, words cannot begin to even describe. I got the BBQ burger and it was incredible, I literally felt so stuffed after just eating the burger and struggled with my chips. They had lots of lovely cocktails, very tasty and photogenic (queue lots of bloggers taking photos of our cocktails).

Laura Himp, Me and Jess

It was a wonderful meal and I also got to Laura a lot better! After the meal we went bowling, I am really bad at bowling so I knew I was not going to win unless a miracle happened but there were a couple of secret pro bowlers in Lodge 2, Adele won and I am convinced she has been secretly training for it. I had such a fantastic day and loved all of the different activities.

Photo session fun
(Jess, Bella and Me)
On our third day, Jess and I biked down to the shops to pick up the ingredients for a fry up and then had a great breakfast when we got back. Us girls in Lodge 2 just talked and talked for ages, we could probably win a marathon for it! There are all so lovely and I cannot wait for the next event to see them all. Unfortunately Vicky had to leave early, she is hilarious and her impressions are amazing, especially one in particular! She definitely could have a career in comedy!

Lazy afternoon (Bella, Me, Jess and Kirsty)

We then lazed around, whilst watching a film and then Adele joined us after dropping Vicky off at the station. We then went down to the swimming pool for an evening swim, we even managed to convince Kirsty to come on the rapids with us. We also tried out some other slides, one was not so pleasant and I ended up inhaling way too much water. After swimming, we were all starving and the girls and I in Lodge 2 decided to get a takeaway. It was the perfect way to end the weekend and after dinner we all sat down to watch Sex and the City.

One last selfie
Our final morning was quite sad and nobody really wanted to leave, it had been such a fantastic weekend that I wanted to stay there for weeks and weeks. It was sad saying goodbye to everyone, but we had already started planning our next holiday and adventure. Adele, Kirsty, Bella and myself went to Longleaf Safari after checking out of Centre Parcs. The safari was so much fun and my favourite part was when we drove through the monkey enclosure, the monkeys climbed onto Adele's car and it was hilarious (sorry Adele).

Thank you so much Lauren for organising it, you are a gem and it was a great weekend. I can't wait for the next blogging holiday and to see all these lovely ladies at the Big Blogger Conference in August!

The Glamour Summer Edit

If you have read my blog or follow me on Instagram, you will know I am a big lover of beauty boxes and Latest in Beauty is my favourite site. Latest in Beauty always have the best boxes and I continue to be endlessly amazed by the great products included in the boxes. This box is jammed packed with lots of fantastic goodies and the beauty blogger in me is jumping up and down excited to try them all out. Glamour magazine roughly do 4 collaborations a year with Latest in Beauty and the boxes are not to be missed! This has to be one of their best boxes yet and it is bound to sell out very quickly. It only costs £17.99, which is a bargain if you ask me and is worth every penny. Here are my first impressions on the box:

Vita Liberata Trystal Minerals in Sunkissed (3g) + full size brush

I have heard of many tanning products but a self-tanning bronzer that is the first and I am very intrigued to put it to the test! I'm not a big fake tanner, I'm as pale as snow and well lets just say fake tan+me= easily looks orange. I'm always cautious on how much I apply or what brand to use, I look forward to using Vita Liberata and seeing if I have a beautiful sunkissed look. The full size product is actually worth £35, so it is understandable I am quite excited to use it and see if it is worth buying.

Pixi Glow Tonic (15ml)

Pixi is a brand I have admired from afar for a while, I got my first Pixi product in the Capital beauty box and loved it. I am really happy to have a second to test and am happy it is a skin care product. The packaging for Pixi is so pretty and has such a summery vibe to it, I am really excited to use the Tonic Glow and see if it brightens/tightens/tones my skin.

Nails Inc Gel Effect (8ml)

Nails Inc is a very well known and respected brand, I have always wanted to try one of their nail varnishes but just haven't gotten around to it. When I saw it was included in the box, I knew I had to get it and it was the perfect opportunity. There were 3 different shades that you could have got and I am so happy with mine, it is my favourite out of the 3. It is called Uptown and is a pretty nude pink shade, it looks really elegant and like it would go with anything.

L'Occitane Aromachologie Repairing Shampoo and Conditionner (2 x 35ml)

This shampoo and conditioner smells incredible, I literally cannot wait to try it. I have a couple of face products from L'Occitane but haven't used them yet, I look forward to getting to discover the brand more and if it lives up to it's reputation. My hair is quite damaged at the moment, so any help I can get with products is great and hopefully this will nourish my hair.

I always love discovering new beauty products, which is why beauty boxes are so great. You pay £15-£20, get a variety of different products to discover and try. I have fell in love with so many great beauty items thanks to Latest in Beauty's boxes and their site truly is awesome! I have not heard of Caudalie before and look forward to trying this, it is meant to get you summer ready and have a head-to-toe glow.

It is safe to say I have a lipstick addiction and love trying out all lip products, so was excited that Bourjois was included in the box. I have yet to try any of their lip products and am happy finally to, I was really lucky with the colour and it looks so pretty. It looks like a nice light shade and perfect for summer, I cannot wait to start using brighter colours in my makeup. I love lip crayons and have yet to come across one that I have not liked.

It would not be a Summer beauty box without having included sun cream, especially considering how pale I am I was glad to see it in the box. I have actually already used it twice, I have been using it under my makeup and it is a good base. It is for dry and sensitive skin, which is a bonus and means it will help hydrate your skin. I only wish I got one of the SPF 50 products as when it is hot SPF 30 isn't strong enough for me, even SPF 50 sometimes isn't enough me haha. I cannot wait to continue to use this and see if my pale skin remain intact.

Balance Me is a great brand, all the skincare products I have tried before have smelt amazing and have made my skin feel good. Even if you aren't a Balance Me fan or haven't heard of them before, I mean who doesn't love a good body scrub?! With Summer around the corner and if you will be having your legs out, then an exfoliator is definitely necessary and here is the perfect one to use!

Seekers of the Sun Temporary Tattoos

Gold metallic tattoos are all the rage this season, especially with festivals around the corner. This is a big trend this season, so I wasn't surprised to see they were included in the box and loved them. I already used some of them and forgot to take a photo (silly me!), which is why there is not a picture of the tattoos. They were all really pretty and perfect, they were easy to apply and loved the gold on my skin.

May 2015 Favourites

I have tried quite a few amazing products this month, so I wanted to group them together and do my monthly favourites. May was quite a horrible month for me, finishing up my dissertation and making sure I had it all together. Anyone who has ever written a dissertation will know that it is like a form of torture and it takes a lot of time. Moving on though, during this month I allowed myself certain shopping breaks as a reward and break from my work in order to maintain my sanity. I have discovered some fantastic products this month and they are all must haves!! So lets dive in.

Sanctuary Spa Active Reverse Facial Peptide Repair Eye Cream (£18)

My mum has always told me to take good care of my face and moisturise it, never leave makeup on and if you treat your face well you will age well. I had not been getting much sleep in May due to stress and worrying, which meant I had really bad black eyes so I was in desperate need of a good eye cream to help down play my black eyes. I was looking across the shop shelves unsure of what to go for, when I came across Sanctuary Spa products. My family literally rave about their body products, but I hadn't heard much about their face ones. I went with it in the end as it was reduced and looked really good, I am beyond glad that I did because the eye cream is amazing!!!!! This is hands down one of the best products I have ever tried and I love it.

The texture is really good, it is quite thick which means you do not have to use tons and a tiny amount will suffice. It glides on to your skin making it feel soft and hydrated, because it isn't liquid-y it doesn't make your skin oily or anything which is a plus. The packaging is stunning and elegant, it also makes it look very expensive but don't let that scare you away because it is money well spent. £18 for eye cream is a decent price, as most of the ones I found were around that or higher. I am definitely going to repurchase it and would recommend it to all those who are having sleepless nights or stressed, it really helped my bags. I mean that aren't gone, it isn't that magical but it does help minimise them and smoothens them out.

Duo Set EOS Lip Balm (£12.50)

I recently did a blog post about EOS lip balms and my love for them, but they deserve to be on the list as I go a different set. I was out shopping with my friend Nicole, when we went into Topshop and saw they had a limited edition duo set of EOS lip balms. As soon as we saw there were two in the packet we were both kind of sold and both came out with a set. In buying the set you save £1.50, as they are individually £7 which isn't a big save but still worth it. They are also different to the individual ones sold in Topshop and do not have the flavours, the two in the set are passion fruit and fresh watermelon. They both smell wonderful and I mean a girl can never have too many EOS lip balms right?! EOS lip balms have literally been a life saver during May, my lips were dry, cracked and in desperate need of a miracle basically. The miracle came in the form of EOS and I am so happy I bought more.

John Frieda Beach Blonde Sea Waves Sea Salt Spray (£6.99)

I absolutely love John Frieda hair products, they are fantastic quality and don't physically hurt me when I buy them. They recently released the Beach Blonde range with a shampoo, conditioner, sea salt spray and conditioning mask. I bought the sea salt spray and the conditioning mask, but trust me I would have purchased it all if I could afford it. However, I somehow managed to restrain myself with only two products. The range looks incredible and the packing is very summery. John Frieda has another winner on their hand and I actually really like the smell, it is a bit different but nice. I can't really put my finger on what exactly it is but it is good! The sea salt spray is my favourite out of the two items I bought and my hair feels amazingly soft. You apply it on towel dried hair, don't dry it with a hair dryer for the proper effect and once your hair dries it should leave it nice and wavy. It really enhances my wavy hair and I love it!

Salon Science Reglosse Smoothing Serum - Swiss Grape (£18)

I got this little gem in a beauty box and it is one of the best hair serums I have tried, my hair feels so much softer and smooth. It smells heavenly, I really cannot do it justice just how good the scent is and it is very summery. I tend to use it every couple of days or whenever I feel my hair could do with a pick-me up. I hadn't tried any Salon Science products before and now I have, I definitely want to see what else they have to offer. The texture is nice, not too liquid-y but not too thick either. They have found the perfect balance so it doesn't go goopy or gel like in your hair.

I only included four items on my list, as I really wanted to focus on why I liked them that much and if not this would probably be a 2,000 word blog post. These four items are amazing and I would definitely recommend them!

L'Oreal Infallible Mattifying Primer

L'Oreal recently released a mattifying primer and since I haven't really used much of their face products, I thought it was a good chance as I had just finished my old primer. I have found it quite a struggle to find a good primer, I love Benefit's but cannot afford to keep buying it unfortunately and Revlon and Maybelline's primer is really good but I need to mix it up a little bit. I didn't really get on with Max Factor's or Bourjois', so I was looking for a new one to try.

The texture is quite light and doesn't feel heavy on your face, it holds my makeup on my face all day and is a really good base for makeup. It reminds me a little bit of Maybelline's Baby Skin Primer, except not as thick. It does moisturise my face well,  however, I wouldn't say it mattifies my look. It is more of a moisturising primer, than a mattifying one but I still like it. My face feels even smoother and it goes well with whatever foundation I choose to use.

Would I buy it again? It is a good primer but I don't love it, it is a good quality primer for its price of £7.99 and does set a great base for my makeup. I was just a little bit disappointed that it doesn't really mattify my makeup look, so it doesn't do as it claims on the packaging. This may just be me and my skin, but it wasn't for me. It hasn't put my off trying more of L'Oreal primers in the future and I will definitely continue to try their products.

Makeup Revolution Blush Palette Golden Sugar

Hello lovelies,

Sorry for the lack of blogging but my dissertation completely took over my life this month and now I am happy to say it is done so I will definitely be blogging more. Over the couple of months that I have been doing my dissertation, I have had a couple of shopping breaks and during one of them I picked up the Makeup Revolution Blush Palette Golden Sugar.  I have wanted it for ages and as soon as I saw it in the shops I knew I had to get it!

Nip + Fab

Lately, I have been seeing a lot about Nip + Fab in magazines, on Instagram and from other bloggers. It has become quite big lately, as Kylie Jenner has become their ambassador which has obviously raised their profile. When I saw that Boots had reduced Nip + Fab products down to half price, I knew this would be the perfect time to try them out. It was as if it was meant to be and how could I not resist...

Nip + Fab has such a variety of products that it made it hard to choose what to buy. There were products from the Dragon's Blood, Bee Sting, Viper Venom and Glycolic range. The Bee Sting products said on the packaging do not use if allergic to bee stings, which made me not want to buy it as I have never been stung by a bee. Viper Venom is another one I avoided because I hate snakes and anything to do with them. I went for products from the Dragon's Blood and Glycolic range, and I am so happy with what I got.

Nip + Fab Glycolic Fix Scrub (£9.95)

I always go for a face scrub whenever I try out a new face brand, as you can never really go wrong with face scrubs. I have been using it for over a month now and am very happy with the effects, it is the full package. The scrub smells amazing, works like a charm and my skin feels as soft as a baby's.

It took me a really long time to place what the smell of the scrub was and what product it reminds me of, then it hit me. It reminds me of Neutrogena's Visibly Clear Pink Grapefruit Scrub, which I love so I was even more happy that I bought the scrub.

The grapefruit scent is divine and so refreshing, my skin smells wonderful after using it! I get why Kylie Jenner raves about the Glycolic range so much and the range deserves a lot of recognition for how amazing it is. It exfoliates like a charm and helps get rid of all impurities on your face, it leaves you with a soft and fresh face. My pores have not looked this good in a really long time and I have Nip + Fab to thank for it. I could not recommend this product more and it is a God send!! I have a new favourite face scrub that actually does what the packaging says, Nip + Fab have a winner with this product.

Nip + Fab Glycolic Fix Cleanser (£7.95)

I bought the cleanser to go with the face scrub and am so glad I did, the Glycolic range is fantastic and pairs very well with the scrub. The cleanser also has the amazing grapefruit scent, which is one of my favourite fragrances. I use it all the time and have barely made a dent in it, which is great as it will last me a very long time and meaning I won't have to buy another one anytime soon.

My skin looks softer, more radiant, youthful, healthy and just brighter. The cleanser works really well and using it with the scrub makes it even better I think. I can definitely see myself buying more from this range and repurchasing the cleanser + scrub.

Nip + Fab Dragons Blood Fix Mask (£14.95)

The name of this product is awesome, it sounds fierce and like it would live up to its potential. I was really excited to try out the mask and it suggests you leave it on for 10 minutes, but it can be left on for more time depending on your skin type. This mask is really refreshing and helps plump up my skin to give me bright and healthy complexion. I tend to leave it on for 10 minutes but sometimes more, it easily washes off and the after-effect is amazing. I would definitely recommend you use it if your skin is feeling dry or a bit dull, it genuinely does help bring it back to life and it feels so soft. The softness alone is a reason why I will be repurchasing it once it runs out and I 100% want to try the rest of this range.

Overall I have absolutely loved trying out Nip + Fab and it is safe to say I am a fan of the brand. It certainly lives up to the hype and it is worth every penny! I really like the packaging of the products, it really helps the brand stand out and make it more noticeable on the shelves.

MAX FACTOR Facefinity primer + foundation

Hello lovelies, I hope your weekend is going alright so far. I have been busy with university, so I am quite stressed and it's starting to show. I have bags under my eyes and my skin isn't fairing to well either, which is why I was in desperate need of a new primer and foundation. The new novelty of my Revlon primer + foundation had kinda wore off and it wasn't doing as good of a job as when I first bought it. Although I suppose that is the case with most primer + foundations, you have to switch it up every now and again. So I decided to try out Max Factors next, I have already gone through Maybelline (great makeup base), Bourgois (not that keen about their primer/foundation), Revlon (loved both) and Rimmel (foundation was really caky). Those are all the ones I can think of right now, but L'Oreal is another one I need to try.

Max Factor Facefinity All Day Primer

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION: The Secret ingredient of our Best-selling foundation is now a product in its own right. Simply apply Facefinity Primer under your favourite foundation to prime, mattify and hold your flawless beauty look in place for longer.

  • Mattifies skin

  • Contains Micro Correctors to banish excess oils

  • Uses Flexi-hold Technology

  • Contains SPF 20
I have had this product for months and months, I have been meaning to write a review but just haven't got around to it, as you can probably tell by the photo it is nearly empty. I always reserve judgment until after I have been using it for at least a week, so that I can see if it works or if I am just having an off day where no matter what I put on my face it won't look right.  I haven't really tried much from Max Factor before, so I was quite excited about trying these products out.

The primer was much more liquidy than I imagined if that makes any sense and reminded more of a moisturiser than anything. It does help soften my face, however, it does not feel that matte. It does hold my makeup quite well, but I'm not really a fan of the texture and I prefer a thicker primer texture.

Is it worth repurchasing? I always think it is important to put this in reviews as it shows how much I really like or dislike the product. Personally I would not buy the primer again, as I do not feel I am getting my moneys worth and prefer Maybellines' much more, plus it is cheaper. My favourite primers so far have been Maybelline and Benefit. Whilst that primer wasn't for me, you should definitely try it out for yourselves first as it may just be my skin or own preferences.

Max Factor Facefinity All Day 3 in 1 Foundation

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION: 3 in 1 foundation holds like a primer, corrects like a concealer with the long lasting finish of a liquid foundation with SPF 20.

  • Lasts all day, giving a flawless finish

  • Primer gives a smooth base for hold

  • Concealer corrects for a flawless look
I have yet to find a foundation I am in love with, I have not found my perfect foundation and I think I may go for MAC's. I have tried most of the drug store brands and just do not feel they are that great, Revlon as said before is my favourite so far. I was looking forward to try Max Factors as my housemate has it and it looked really good on her. I was quite disappointed by it and very much like the primer it is very liquidy, which I don't really like. It is an ok foundation but not a great one and the quality is not that great.

I have come to find that if you put on a normal amount, it doesn't look like you have makeup on and just slightly covers my face. However, if you double up on the quantity it looks like you have caked it on and can come out a tiny bit orangey. It is a loose-loose situation really and no matter what I do it is not the result I want. I tend to use my Max Factor foundation only when I'm going to uni or something that I don't really care what my face looks like.

If you want a very natural look with a slight tint of foundation then this is the one for you. Despite not getting on too well with the primer and foundation, it has not put me off buying any of their products in the future. I look forward to trying their lip products and a variety of their other beauty products.

Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara

It seems like curved brushes are the trend this season, I have seen quite a few makeup brands following suit and I am loving it so far. Maybelline and Benefit were really clever by releasing their mascara before Benefit's Roller Lash, as there isn't much difference between both mascaras a part from the price. So getting themselves out there first, was definitely a very clever idea and plus people got to try out Roller Lash mascara in the March issue of Elle. I know I am a bit slow and behind on reviewing this mascara, but it has been such a busy couple of months and I'm not that good at balancing blogging/uni work.

This product was heavily advertised in all of the magazines, I saw adverts pretty much everywhere which made me think they were trying a little bit too hard. Yet I still want to try it as I need to make my own judgement and see if it is any good.

The packaging is the same shape as all of their other mascaras, which I love as you instantly know that it is Maybelline. I love the colour they have chosen, then lilac colour is really pretty and makes the mascara very girly.

The curved brush makes applying mascara oh so much easier and curves your lashes with it. It's a plastic brush so it is perfect for separating lashes and making them longer. The brush really helps to emphasise your lashes and make them stand out, the results are stunning! It is really easy to apply and you don't have to spend a lot of time putting it on, quick and easy.

The Lash Sensational Mascara only costs £7.99, which is a decent price for a mascara and it is worth every penny. I think it is actually undervalued but hey I'm not going to complain. Maybellines' new mascara is awesome and I am loving having it in my makeup bag.
